KinAlert turns the phones in your home into a private alert network. When someone triggers an alert — Medical, Fire, Security, or General — every other device on the same Wi-Fi shows it full-screen immediately, and tells the sender when the alert was delivered, accepted, or dismissed.
Everything happens between your own devices on your own Wi-Fi. The app never needs the internet to work.
None. The app contains no analytics, no advertising SDKs, no crash reporters, and no cloud backend. There is nothing uploaded, and therefore nothing for us to collect, sell, or share.
📱
Information used on your device
-
Your name
You choose it on first launch; it is shown on your alerts so family members know who needs help. Stored only on your phone.
-
Device identifier
A random Android device ID is used to tell your devices apart on the network. It never leaves your Wi-Fi.
-
Local IP address
Used only to deliver alerts between devices on the same network. Never transmitted anywhere else.
-
Alert messages & acknowledgements
Your custom message text and delivery/accept/dismiss responses travel directly to your other devices — nothing in between.
-
Network passcode optional
If you set one, it is shared only with the devices you configure, so alerts from unknown devices can be ignored.
🔐
Permissions the app uses
-
Network access
Sends alerts between your devices over your local Wi-Fi.
-
Notifications & full-screen alerts
Shows emergency alerts loudly and clearly — even over the lock screen.
-
Display over other apps
Makes the alert screen appear instantly when it matters most.
-
Foreground service
Keeps a lightweight listener alive so your phone never misses an alert. It runs on your device only.
-
Run at startup
Re-enables listening after your phone reboots.
-
Battery optimisation exemption optional
If you allow it, alerts keep working while the phone is idle or locked. You can decline and the app still works.
-
Wi-Fi multicast reception
Lets your phone discover the other devices in your home.

Data sharing & storage
No data is shared with third parties, advertisers, or any external server — there are none in the app. Your name, messages, passcode, and preferences are stored only on your device and are never backed up to any cloud.
Uninstalling the app removes all of it, permanently and immediately.
The short version: your alerts stay inside your home, on your Wi-Fi, between your devices. That's the whole design.
